Ghost Adventures: Linda Vista Hospital
Many Ghost Adventures episodes are my favourite. But the one that stands out for me is when the crew visits the Linda Vista Hospital. Their fear of being in that rough neighbourhood combined with the paranormal activity was captivating. I’ve watched it a few times, and the scene with the nurse always gets me.

Supernatural TV: Ghost Brothers
I found a new paranormal investigation show, Ghost Brothers. I gave it a shot, and loved it. The investigators are funny and likeable. They interact curiously with ghosts, which I like more than the aggressive approach that Zak Bagans takes (though don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Ghost Adventures fan). I also really like this new show because they are exploring African-American ghosts, which allows for more history and story-telling about Black history in America—as well as the mystical cultures of Black communities, like the voodoo at the plantation in their first episode.
I’m definitely going to keep watching this show!

Horror TV: Oddities
I miss the tv show Oddities, especially Evan (centre in photo). She is the coolest person!

TV Monster: Sweetums
Sometimes I wonder about Sweetums’ back story before he joined the Muppet Show. Was he a mean monster turned softy after a particularly traumatic experience? Had he always been a sweet monster; was that part of how he was as a species? Or, was he an outcast from his aggressive family? I usually think of him as an outcast because, for the majority, all of the Muppets are outcasts, and he finds his family among them. Oh, Sweetums!

The Addam’s Family
Our local tv station CJOH reran The Addam’s Family after school when I was growing up. I loved everything about it–from the spooky characters to the corny jokes–and I would look forward to getting home every day in hopes that I could sneak in an episode before dinner.
I found 14 Facts You Might Not Know about The Addam’s Family on the Neatorama blog. Lurch had a dance single? If you’re also a fan of the show, these facts are a good read.
