Horror Cinema: The Ruins (2008)
When my good buddy sat me down with a few friends to watch The Ruins, I had no idea what to expect, and, if you have not seen it yet, I recommend you do your best to go into it knowing as little as possible about the plot. What I liked about the movie was that it offered good gore along with a good premise. I highly recommend it.

Horror Cinema Trivia: Nightmare on Elm Street Franchise
Wes Craven had nothing to do with the first sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985), as he didn’t believe that Elm Street was capable of spawning a franchise. The success of the second film, outgrossing the original, convinced him otherwise. (From https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093629/trivia)

Drag Queen Horror Story: That Bloody Dress
Combining my love for drag queens and horror stories, I wrote a short story about a drag queen who is haunted by the mistakes of her past, in particular, getting a botched nose job and later mocking the plastic surgeon who did it to her on social media. Central to the story is the family bond within the drag community that sparks revenge when torn apart. If you like tales of murder and glamorous men in makeup, I encourage you to give the story a try! You can get your copy at BackupBrain: That Bloody Dress.

Next season of Netflix’s Sabrina to be the last
I was bummed to learn that Netflix’s Sabrina series will air its final season later this year:
“The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will end with a part four on Netflix later this year. Netflix and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa made the announcement on Wednesday night.

“The final installment promises a spooky, sexy and supernatural series finale — but not before Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) reveals a few more tricks up her retro-chic sleeve. Over the course of the final part’s eight episodes, the Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale. The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned and The Darkness, to name a few), all leading up to The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of the Fright Club, Nick (Gavin Leatherwood) begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart, but it may be too late.”
